Dawna Williams (Michelle Stafford), 37, is the attractive curator of the esteemed Hansen Art Gallery in Philadelphia. Despite her career success at such an admirable age, her first and most important role is being a single mother to her beautiful 19 year old daughter Emily (Dani Kind). Having had Emily when she was only 18, Dawna has done her best to give her daughter everything two parents could… including an education at a prestigious University. Emily, on the other hand, has been a bit of a wild child the past few years, dating “bad” boys, partying hard, and not really focusing on school.
