Ravenswood Lane was planted in 1993 and rapidly became one of the premier vineyards in the Adelaide Hills. After been hospitalized with flying disease DVT John Edwards was inspired to become a vigneron after reading A Year in Province. He stepped out of the globe-trotting world of Grand Prix marketing to start in a new direction.As other major players in the wine industry seemed to be moving into the Adelaide Hills John followed their lead and purchased Ravenswood Lane. The cooler climate in one of the key elements to growing great fruit. The colder temperatures produce fruit with a greater finesse and structure.
