Off The Vine - Woodstock Winery (2001)

Scott Collett is the second-generation winemaker at Woodstock Winery. His father Douglas was inspired to become a winemaker, from flying his Spitfire over vast vineyards in Europe during World War 2. The traditions in wine making established by Douglas are continued today. The emphasis is on creating and preserving grape flavours in generous value for money wines. The process starts in the vineyard and requires careful attention at every stage of production.Woodstock is the home to some the worlds oldest Shiraz vines, believed to be over one hundred years old. These old vines still consistently produce exceptional fruit each year. The premium label The Stocks Shiraz is produced from these vines.
